Bangers FC will play in USL League Two starting in May 2025
Portland, OR – February 5th, 2025 – The Portland Pickles are proud to officially unveil Portland Bangers FC, a new USL League Two soccer team set to electrify Portland’s passionate sports community. Bangers FC will make its highly anticipated debut this May, playing in the Concordia neighborhood in Northeast Portland. The stadium location will be announced later this month.
With the inaugural season ahead, fans can look forward to seven home games between May and July, bringing the best pre-professional soccer to Portland’s vibrant sports scene.
Portland Bangers FC proudly unveils its bold new identity, blending the city's rich cultural influences with a fresh, energetic brand. Anchored by a soft blushing pink and lush green color palette, the team’s visual identity celebrates Portland’s vibrant natural beauty.
The crest takes inspiration from the iconic St. Johns Bridge, symbolizing connection and community, while the soccer ball design integrates the Portland city flag’s star to honor local heritage. The fearless and feisty mascot, Saucy T. Sausage, pays tribute to the city’s culinary scene, embodying the team's lively spirit. Adding to the dynamic aesthetic, the comic book-style typography pays homage to Portland’s storied history in animation and graphic art.
